Mary L. Cureton Noll, Insight School of Kansas Megan M. Amyot-Trimble, Insight School of Kansas
Engaging and motivating students in the online English classroom is challenging and, indeed, sometimes daunting. By integrating education-friendly, student tested/teacher approved (free!) web 2.0 tools and applications into their instruction, teachers can breathe easier knowing they're reaching diverse learners in ways that most Power Points can't. This session will provide the online teacher with strategies to boost synchronous session attendance and increase student motivation and engagement.
